Thank you for choosing me to start working towards your recovery. I realize that starting counseling is a major decision and you may have many questions. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Masters Degree in counseling from Webster University at Fort Bliss, TX. I have been in the mental health field for more than 15 years and got licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors since 2006. I have over 13 years of clinical experience in treating children, adolescents, adults and couples using individual, couples, and family therapy. As a clinician, I concentrate in establishing an open and trustworthy relationship with you. The fundamental goal of counseling treatment is to help you through personal challenges that you are experiencing at this time. I offer a multidisciplinary treatment approach in which the purpose of the treatment is to fit the need of each client. I am trained and certified in TF-CBT (trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy) and Acudetox. Other trainings and practices are CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), Client Centered, Play Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Rapid Desensitization), Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma for Adolescents (ITCT-A) and more.
