Are you looking for a different therapeutic experience than traditional talk therapy? I have been a Registered Art Therapist for over 30 years. I expanded my therapeutic toolbox with a Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree and I am now a National Board Certified Counselor. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, creative, non-threatening and strength based, focusing on anxiety, depression, life issues and the effects of trauma and PTSD. I enjoy working with clients of all ages. I am also a certified Trauma Informed Practitioner, working with clients through a Trauma Informed lens. The benefits of art therapy and counseling include improved sense of self esteem, self worth and personal empowerment, the alleviation of symptoms of anxiety, depression and PTSD. I am trained in BST (EMDR “light”), Trauma Informed practice and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I offer an art based, clinically informed, therapeutic experience. I believe art heals, provides a voice where one may or may not exist and builds personal empowerment, insight and self awareness. I believe everyone is an artist, and no prior art experience is necessary in order to express yourself, and your inner voice. If you feel talking will be a challenge, art therapy can be a non-verbal means of growth and change.
