Therapist Overview
I believe that counseling is a collaborative process between the client and counselor and that the client is the expert of their own life. I believe in the power of genuineness, acceptance, and empathetic understanding. It is my goal to foster a safe and non-judgmental space to facilitate growth and allow you to process through your experiences. At the same time, I think that being challenged can help us grow. My approach to therapy includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness based psychotherapy. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Prior to working as a counselor I was a Support Specialist for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico where I worked closely with children, adolescents, parents, and volunteers in the community. Feel free to email with questions or call for a short phone consultation to see if we are a good fit. I provide counseling services to anyone
