Therapist Overview
I’m inspired to guide teens, and parents through the process of exploring what is on their hearts and minds. Through this exploration, I’ve seen teens create and maintain more fulfilling family interactions, healthier relationships with peers, and greater focus towards their goals. I help teens and family members improve self-understanding, self-compassion, effective communication, and connection. Sometimes, teens can benefit from learning more skills for sharing their perspectives. Often, parents also want to learn how to support their teens growth more effectively, or how to influence family communication. In order to address communication breakdowns, I will provide guidance that will help generate flexibility, curiosity, and open-mindedness between you and your teen. It is my passion to see families in a more connected place, and I’m excited about the work it takes to get there. I have a special interest in working with teens who are balancing a variety of obligations and interests. In addition to individual and family work, I enjoy leading groups. As a facilitator, I have have the opportunity to observe girls in a social context and to help guide them toward more effective ways of being together and supporting each other.
