Therapy is the place where you can be authentic and honest about struggles and can feel validated and heard rather than judged or dismissed. I believe people want to be happy instead of feeling anxious, stressed, angry, depressed, lashing out at family members, having behavioral outbursts, etc. Most people will seek therapy because the way that they address these issues hasn’t been working (or because their parents made them ;) and they need support to find something that does.
