Therapist Overview
Have you found yourself asking the question “Maybe I should go talk to someone” but find a way to talk yourself out of it? Followed by thoughts that you should be able to handle things on your own, giving in to the stigma that going to therapy is somehow a sign of weakness or just isn’t for you. There can be misconceptions about what it means to talk to a Mental Health Professional. It can be an extremely useful tool that helps with a wide array of issues from anxiety, to depression, trauma and relational issues, just to name a few. Therapy is a normal and vital experience that works to many people’s benefit, no matter the circumstance that may surround them. At my practice you will get one hour a week to focus completely on yourself in a warm, inviting and nonjudgmental environment. I work with individuals and couples. I specialize in a Psychoanalytic approach and have training in both Imago and EMDR techniques.
