Therapist Overview
I have been providing therapy in Montana for 30 years. I was Director of Services for the Mental Health Center in Choteau for 5 years before going into private practice in 1995. Practicing in a rural area is a lot like being a country “doc”, you treat “everything that walks in the door”. This has given me a wide range of experience with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, self-esteem issues, childhood abuse, domestic violence, behavior problems, and life transitions. I have a wholistic, eclectic approach fitting the therapy to the client rather than fitting the client to the therapy. I am now offering teletherapy via video sessions. This allows a person to have counseling sessions from the convenience of their home or anywhere using their phone, tablet, or laptop. Teletherapy removes many barriers to treatment including lack of transportation, schedule availability, travel distance, and weather conditions to name a few. I can help with problem-solving and improving overall mental and physical health through healthy lifestyle changes. Nutrition, exercise, and positive social relationships have a profound effect on mental health and our ability to deal with stress. International clients are welcome.
