Therapist Overview
While I greatly enjoy working with all adults around a multitude of life challenges, I have particular passion for working with elders and their families, as well as those affected by chronic and terminal illness (based on work and personal experience). I also particularly enjoy helping people find and express their authentic voices. Elders’ well-being and planning for their future needs remains a largely ignored area among private practitioners. I am very grateful to use my 25 year not-for-profit social work experience (primarily in aging services and hospice and palliative care) to enhance my clinical work. My training and work as a social worker compells me to collaborate with other involved care providers (as they are willing and able) and educate clients about community resources. My emphasis on research-informed practice ensures my continued training in exciting areas such as feedback informed treatment and positive psychology practices.
