In my global approach to therapy, I empower clients to tap into their own ideas around healing–things that perhaps they’ve lost touch with when sadness and stress set in. My clients tend to be individuals, couples, and teens with minority identity (ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, etc.) seeking support, and also those for whom race, culture, language, and social justice are important. I have weekend availability to accommodate work schedules and families with children in school. I also conduct therapy in Spanish. I use a post-modern approach, with strategies in CBT and mindfulness. My strength is in supporting clients through challenging life transitions including parenthood, pre-marital counseling, and grief. I help clients manage family and cultural expectations, societal pressures, and teen/parent relationships. Apart from my private practice, I enjoy my work in an agency serving primarily Latino families in the downtown area. Most importantly, I am a listener and a helper, whic
