Therapist Overview
When your child is not learning or having trouble in school, it is difficult to see them struggle. When your child’s behavior changes or you get reports from school that there are problems, it may be time to look for help. Often the behavior we see is just a reaction to the real problem. For example, issues with attention are often seen in impulsive behavior or lack of organization but these behaviors can also signal problems with anxiety or depression. That is often why medication doesn’t work – we are treating the symptom and not the real problem. The main focus for my practice is evaluating learning and behavior problems. We will work together to create an evaluation plan that assesses the real issues and to develop a treatment plan individualized to her/his needs. If medication is not an option, I offer bio-feedback, behavior modification, and Audio Visual Entrainment to help address symptoms. I know how hard it can be to hear that your child has a problem and I am here to help
