Your inner critic is at battle with your binge Netflix watcher, or your responsible part is upset with your procrastinator part…there are many combinations that can show up. Often these parts can appear at odds with each other and we act in ways that seem counter-productive to what we want or how we want to be. I can help you balance these parts to make you a better whole. We will work to empower your inner core of strength and facilitate its relationship with each of your many parts to allow them to heal and take on healthy roles. I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy which explains these systems within ourselves and works with them in a unique way that can help us heal. I will help you explore your various parts, and see behavior as strategies intended to protect your wounded parts from further emotional harm. This takes place in an atmosphere of acceptance and trust. I have been in the human services field for 35 years – as a preschool teacher, a school counselor, and a mental health counselor in a college counseling center.
