Adolescence is a period of time characterized by many physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral changes. In fact, many parents may find themselves asking, “Is this normal?” and many adolescents may wonder, “Am I normal?” In my practice, I focus on helping children, adolescents, and teens navigate through what may be a tumultuous time by building upon each individual’s strengths, working on positive communication skills, and helping each child to develop healthy coping strategies. I also enjoy supporting parents in providing positive nurturing and guidance to their children who are on the journey to adulthood. Developing effective communication with adolescents requires effort. I place a heavy emphasis on providing a safe, positive, and non-judgmental space where an individual may feel comfortable sharing what he/she is thinking and feeling. In addition to individual therapy sessions, I also offer family, sibling, and group therapy services. Due to my extensive experience w
