Counseling is a place we can explore the many facets of being a woman and the many roles that we fill. This is a confidential space to confront challenges and general life issues that may crop up in life including but not limited to emotional eating, negative body image, stress and anxiety, poor self-esteem, depressed mood, and neglected self-care. We all face difficulties during our lives. And because of the many roles we, as women, are expected to fulfill, we often do not show our suffering to the outside world. But that’s how we feel on the inside. I want you to know that there is nothing wrong with asking for help! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who practices individual therapy with women, ages 18 and over. The focus of my practice is to help women to recover from depression, anxiety, emotional eating, body image problems, poor self-esteem, and move through various life transitions. I use many therapeutic approaches, not just a one size fits all approach. I believe the most important factor in counseling is the relationship between the client and therapist. While it can be difficult to ask for help and open up to a stranger, my hope is that you and I will build a relationship of trust while we walk this road together. I consider it a privilege to be a part of your journey and am excited to walk it together!
