Therapist Overview

I am a psychotherapist in New York City with over ten years experience working in both private practice and at New York Presbyterian Hospital, treating adults with mood, anxiety, and personality disorders. I use evidence based therapies to help clients reach their goals and reduce their suffering. Clients learn to change maladaptive, self defeating patterns of thinking and behaving. I specialize in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and offer individual DBT and DBT Skills Training Groups. I have had extensive advanced training in DBT, including training with Marsha Linehan, the developer of DBT. I am experienced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and treatment for PTSD, using both Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. The overarching goal of DBT is to “build a life worth living”. Overcoming psychological, emotional and situational obstacles that get in the way of one’s life goals is a key focus of my practice. In keeping with the principals of DBT, I always treat my clients with empathy and acceptance. DBT skills reduce suffering and help transform lives.
