Therapist Overview
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in diagnostic assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the lifespan (18 months to adult). I provide âdifferential diagnostic evaluationâ that explores whether autism and/or other clinical issues are present (such as anxiety, depression, or developmental delays). I also have a small therapy practice where I focus on mental health and wellness with clients whose lives are affected by autism (including Aspergerâs Syndrome). Over the past decade, I directed Autism Centers at UT Southwestern Medical Center and OHSU where I engaged in research, training and clinical care. My Doctorate is in Clinical Psychology & Behavioral Medicine and I completed postdoctoral fellowship at Childrenâs Medical Center Dallas. Alongside my private practice, I am a psychologist at Seattle Childrenâs Hospital and also direct Oregon Health & Science Universityâs Autism ACCESS program which provides statewide training to pediatricians and educators. It can be very stressful to wait for an evaluation so I make every effort to schedule new clients quickly. I emphasize an evidence-based approach that is individualized, meeting over a few appointments with the goal of understanding the challenges that brought you to the evaluation, as well as strengths that will guide treatment and supports moving forward.
