At Barzey Consulting and Counseling, you will have a safe and peaceful space, and a person you can trust to speak your truth and tell your story. I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT and play therapy, and will adjust my approach based on the needs and goals of each client. I have experience working with victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. I also have experience working with people dealing with immigration issues and difficulties adjusting. In my work with children, adolescents, adults and families of different cultures, we explore relationship problems which includes unhealthy relational patterns, life stage challenges, work and life stressors. These include anger, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, acculturation and adjustment issues. We explore coping and emotion regulation strategies. It takes courage to share your problems, struggles and life stories with someone. I understand that, so I provide an atmosphere of professionalism, empathy and confidentiality which are essential for positive growth and achievable solutions. I will remain non-judgmental.
