Therapist Overview
*I am not accepting new clients at this time.* Do you ever wonder if you’re going crazy or if it’s just the world around you that’s crazy? I hear a lot of people say, “I can’t live like this anymore” or “Something’s gotta change.” Maybe you need help coping with your parents or dealing with your kids. Maybe you want your anxiety or bad thoughts to go away. Maybe you don’t like a situation you are stuck in or changes that are happening in your body. Maybe you want to figure out how to get through this crazy world as YOU – not as how someone else wants you to be. I specialize in anxiety, adolescents (13 & up), gender identity, transitions, personal growth, & life-threatening diagnoses. My practice is trauma-informed and trans-affirmative, and I am trained in EMDR, ERP, & mindfulness-based therapies including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I also teach meditation. Allergy alert: a dog shares my office. I’m the kind of person who hates change, but keeps taking a deep breath and jumping into new things anyway. I don’t sit still much! I try to pay a lot of attention to the things that scare me so they don’t sneak up on me. I also know what it’s like to be anxious. We all have hard times, and sometimes we need a hand. That’s why I became a social worker.
