Therapist Overview
“You cannot swim for new horizons until you have courage to lose sight of the shore.” – William Faulkner. The power of being able to accept and let go the anxiety, challenges, and losses we face can allow our minds the emotional space to grow. By using mindfulness methods, you will be able to practice patience, acceptance, forgiveness, ownership, and kindness towards yourself. Seeking help and allowing yourself to be vulnerable takes such strength and courage. My goal is to help you heal emotionally, mentally, physically, relationally, and spiritually. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families presenting with various issues. I create a safe, caring, and non-judgmental environment in which my clients can feel free to be themselves and receive the support needed to reach their goals. Primarily my work includes treatment of substance abuse, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and self-injury. I like to start where the client is and helping them to identify their challenges, come up with a plan, and help to encourage and motivate progress. I feel blessed to be culturally competent as well as having experience working with a wide spectrum of ages, races, ethnicities, and religions.
