Therapist Overview
Many things have changed in how we seek balance in our lives while social distancing. It is more challenging to manage anxiety, depression, parenting and grief. But our basic need to be heard remains the same. Being heard is powerful. When you’ve been struggling to find balance in your life or in your family nothing feels right and it is more difficult to find creative solutions to everyday problems. I provide empathetic, clinical strategies personally tailored to your family’s needs to help you restore balance. I enjoy working with adults, teens and children and also help families and couples who have difficulty hearing each other to develop more effective ways to communicate and solve problems. I also enjoy providing premarital couples counseling. I tend to think that if things go well and you reach your goal, it has less to do with what we do in the counseling office and more to do with what you do in your own life, family and community. It is my hope that the things we work on in sessions will empower you with a new way of reaching goals that will work in the real world and not just in my office.
