Therapist Overview
Compassion is the foundation of my therapeutic work with all clients. It’s important to me that you feel respected, cared for, and that you feel better. Challenging life situations, traumatic experiences, and/or dysfunctional family dynamics can cause all of us to feel distressed. Sharing your experiences, feeling validated and listened to, can decrease your emotional pain. Using a relational and client-centered approach, I can address your individual needs. Working together, we can find solutions and tools to help you make lasting changes that ultimately result in you feeling better. I have extensive experience helping individuals, and families cope with life’s challenges both as a psychologist and as an educator. My specialties include trauma, dysfunctional family systems, codependency, parenting issues, child-parent mental health, adolescent anxiety, eating disorders, life transitions, grief, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Using compassion, my training, and my belief that we all want to feel better, I am able to provide a warm, unconditional, and safe space where you will feel supported, heard and understood. I want you to both engage and learn from your negative life experiences, and also grow and develop new strategies to creating meaningful change in your life.
