Therapist Overview
My name is Shannon (she/her/hers). I believe in the power of hope and in trusting our inner wisdom to guide us through everyday life. I have a heart for working with individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing transition(s), with specialized training and experience working with adolescents and adults. I am genuinely honored to accompany people as they find their way through a wide range of personal and interpersonal changes. I consider it a gift to walk with people as they discover the life the deepest parts of themselves desire, including in their interpersonal relationships. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am aware of the unique challenges LGBTQIA+ individuals and families can experience when creating a sense of identity in the process of forming, building and growing their relationships. I take a holistic, affirmative, strengths-based approach centered around the reasons you and/or your family are seeking help. I am in the clinical training phase of becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist through Seattle University’s Couples and Family Therapy program, graduating 3/21. I also hold a Master of Science degree specialized in organizational systems, learning and change. I incorporate elements of that training in my work with individual and family systems.
