Therapist Overview
Everyone has parts of themselves they wish they could change or get rid of. Much of my journey, both personally and professionally, has emphasized the importance of learning to accept and even love those parts. I want to support you as you begin to see that self-acceptance and self-love are possible, and even necessary, for each and every one of us. Sometimes, all it takes is a wise pivot – like learning to celebrate the parts of ourselves that we may be most afraid to show. Ultimately, this process is about the importance of being open and honest about yourself and your needs – even when it’s hard. I am passionate about creating a therapeutic space for others to express their deepest emotions without fear of judgement. Often times, we are led to believe that we are passive observers to our own suffering. My combination of emotion-focused and narrative therapeutic approaches allows clients to reclaim ownership of their stories so they may move forward. My therapeutic work emphasizes both patience and progress. Therapy is a deeply courageous and vulnerable thing to do – the least I can do is strive to offer a space for clients to make it their own. I love being able to connect with my clients about virtually anything, and I’m a believer that it’s important to understand people in their own unique ways.
