Life can be really overwhelming, especially for teens. Peer pressure, rigorous academic schedules, and social media all add to the already confusing life of a teen. I have 10+ years of experience working with teens in a supportive, caring and validating therapeutic environment. Raising a healthy, happy teenager has to involve a team of caring individuals, it can not be done alone, therefore I encourage parental involvement while still maintaining client confidentiality. I understand the importance of communication within the family unit so I facilitate sessions to allow family members to communicate more effectively. I understand that it is not always easy for young people to share their feelings or experiences that is why I empower my clients to share in their own time and in their own way. I provide a space for teens to feel comfortable being themselves. I have experience working with diverse populations and embrace people from all cultural backgrounds.
