Therapist Overview
If you are struggling to communicate in your relationship, feeling stuck in the past and unable to enjoy the present, or finding it difficult to be true to yourself – welcome! I’m glad you’re here. My clients come to me when they are feeling conflict, both with their loved ones and within themselves. They may feel that they go in circles in arguments with their partners, constantly retreading old ground and not finding a way forward. Or they may find themselves re-enacting patterns and behaviors that worked in the past, but aren’t suited for the present. Whatever your conflict is, internal or external, I’m here to help. I specialize in relational therapy – how we relate to each other as well as ourselves. I take an active and collaborative approach with my clients, and draw from several evidence-based treatment modalities (including the Gottman Method and Narrative Therapy) in order to create an individualized treatment plan that fits each client’s needs and goals. I know that the search for a therapist can be overwhelming, and that reaching out for help is a vulnerable experience. It’s important for the client-therapist relationship to be strong and trusting, and I welcome feedback at every step of the process. If you’re ready to start exploring the past to understand the present, I look forward to hearing from you!
