Therapist Overview
Welcome! I am a licensed psychologist with 20 years of experience. Over the years, I have had the privilege to work collaboratively with clients presenting with a wide range of challenges and from diverse cultural backgrounds. These specific areas include anxiety, depression, grief, childhood traumas, postpartum depression/anxiety, domestic violence, occupational stress, marital problems, interpersonal stress, phase of life challenges, and self-esteem concerns. Through a strong therapeutic relationship, I believe that hope can be restored and each person can reach their potential as a result of their strength and resiliency. My style in therapy is supportive, nurturing, affirmative, and direct from a place of compassion and respect. I use various therapeutic modalities/interventions to tailor to client-specific needs and to provide the most comprehensive help possible. I have worked with a major HMO for many years and the experience has given me the strong skillsets to think fast in a crisis situation in an outpatient setting and Emergency Department. This includes diagnosing and treatment planning. These skills have allowed me to get to the bottom of my clients’ challenges quickly and find immediate solutions.
