Therapist Overview
Reaching out for help when you’re hurting or struggling takes a tremendous amount of courage. I am ever-mindful of this as I meet with clients and believe that a safe and authentic therapeutic relationship is the primary vehicle for growth and change. This begins with understanding and empathizing with the unique story of each person with whom I meet. I bring warmth, care, and bits of humor to my work with clients. I am seasoned in supporting adolescents and adults who experience depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, men’s issues, relational challenges, addictions, faith/spirituality concerns, and serious mental illness. I draw on a variety of evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral, mindfulness-based, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed models of care, all while seeking to be collaborative and holistic in my approach with each person.
