Therapist Overview
Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, afraid, or feel like there is no hope? Do you have a busy schedule during the day? I offer counseling/therapy services on some weeknights plus some Saturday morning availability. I specialize and have experience in working with older adults and the challenges they face, those struggling with alcohol and other substance abuse issues, anxiety, depression, men’s issues, grief, domestic violence/IPV, relationship issues, life transitions, and overall challenging situations that come up in life. I believe that therapy can be a journey or a path to a positive and healthy mental well being. I most commonly work with people facing some form of crisis in their lives and I provide a judgement-free therapy environment. My clients set goals and work to achieve those goals to move forward with their lives. I want my clients to experience feeling empowered, in control and accomplished. I use a strength based holistic approach in my practice. I provide an empathetic and accepting space for people to process internal and external difficulties, gain insight, and heal. I have extensive experience working in a hospital/emergency room environment as well as experience working with older adults at various community agencies.
