Therapist Overview
Humor is one of the most underrated tools utilized in therapy today. Not only does humor provide great stress relief, it also provides a chance to bond or form a connection with another person. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in therapy along with providing a non judgmental safe zone. Just like any other relationship, therapy will not work unless there is trust! My approach is eclectic because it depends on the individual and what the needs are. Narrative Therapy helps us to find our voice and re-write stories that we have formed over time. It helps to externalize issues from the past that might have been subconsciously internalized over the years, causing low self esteem and self worth. The most difficult step to take is reaching out and realizing that there is hope! One of my passions is to help people regain hope and learn how to love themselves again. Outside of work, you can find me doing anything creative, gardening, and/or spending time with my dog, Little Dude!
