Therapist Overview
I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is crucial for progress and improvement, so I aim for a highly collaborative environment with my clients. I foster an empathetic space so my clients can explore their vulnerabilities and target any maladaptive cognitions and/or behavioral patterns. A safe, judgement-free environment is my number one priority! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Board-Certified Counselor (NBCC). I received my Bachelor’s degree in East Asian Language and Literature from the University of California, Irvine and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychotherapy from Northwestern University. I’m currently a Postgraduate Clinical Fellow in the Behavioral Therapies Program at The Family Institute at Northwestern University. I completed my clinical training at Highland Park Hospital’s Adolescent and Young Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Unit as well as a Research Fellowship at Yale University’s Child Study Center researching anxiety and mood disorders. While I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), I adapt to my client’s needs and meet them where they are at in the room. I particularly enjoy working with the young adult population and with those that suffer from Panic, Anxiety, Perfectionism, Depression, and Trichotillomania.
