Therapist Overview
Welcome! If you are perusing this website, it is likely you are seeking meaningful change in your life. Perhaps you struggle with moods, relationship troubles, or traumas that negatively impact your life. As a psychologist, I have worked 16+ years serving many diverse clients, helping them to resolve problems, restore balance in their lives, feel whole again, and express themselves genuinely and skillfully in the world. My therapeutic approach is integrative in that I select from many treatment modalities to bring about positive change. The choice of treatment modality is not random. Each has its merits, and I draw from many to customize a plan for you. Some approaches may be familiar, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I often use EMDR for trauma as it takes us beyond thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to address problematic reverberations in the body, which then frees us to be ourselves. I also incorporate Contemplative Psychology that teaches us to work with our mind as an ally in building awareness, confidence, skillful means, and compassion towards ourselves and others. The therapeutic journey can be rocky at times. We must be kind to ourselves, willing to try something new, and have support. If my words inspire you, please reach out.
