Therapist Overview
Are you and your spouse missing each other? Are you like ships in the night whose paths never cross, signals get mixed up, and the choppy waters bring you hopelessness and fear? You are not alone in your desire for a better marriage. About 1/3 of first marriages and about 1/2 of subsequent marriages in the U.S. end in divorce, and that figure doesn’t account for the loneliness encountered in other marriages that stay together. Whether premarital, distressed, or couples seeking enrichment, I enjoy working with you. We will collaborate to strengthen your relationship bond while gaining understanding of each of your individual needs. When working with individuals, couples and families, my hope is to provide a safe place to explore the problems that bring you to counseling and to find inner strength and resources that allow for new behaviors and experiences. Individuals matter and relationships matter, and it takes a strong “I” to make a strong “We.” I strive to provide a place for you and your family to focus on the issues that matter in your life. It takes courage to reach out for help, and I welcome you as you are.
