Therapist Overview
You don’t really like to talk about your childhood or maybe you don’t even remember a lot of it. You know parts were bad, the fights, addictions, mental illness, sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, maybe even the death of a loved one. You try to put it behind you but you struggle in your marriage and yell at the kids. Holidays are hard, and sometimes you wonder if it’s even worth living. You overcompensate or try to be invisible, because that’s how you learned to survive. You suffer from a sense of not being worthy or enough, but it doesn’t have to be like that. Life can be good. You ARE worthy and you ARE enough. Depression, anxiety, low self-worth, and poor interpersonal relationships, are often symptoms of childhood trauma. I am a client centered, trauma focused therapist with a big tool box and knowledge about how to use those tools. Odds are, you find it hard to trust people, certainly not enough to tell them the hard stuff. That’s why I’m here. I believe there are no band aid
