My career as a clinical social worker has spanned over 40 years. My counseling practice, Alpha Counseling Services of Worthington, has a new practice name and location as of 2019. Formerly a member of the Alpha Psychiatric Services practice, I have for the past 30 years provided mental health treatment and counseling support to individuals, couples, and families. My desire and goal is to provide assistance to people with their mental health and other difficult life challenges, to renew their hope, and to find lasting solutions for their future. Whether the challenges involve emotional, physical, relational, or spiritual concerns and distress, my approach is to develop a meaningful client/therapist partnership to address clients’ needs with compassion and respect. I appreciate the knowledge, experience, and creativity clients bring to the helping relationship and to seeking their desired solutions. I have worked both briefly and long-term with clients and endeavor to tailor services to their specific needs. I view the successful counseling relationship as one built on trust, safety, and equality, valuing the clients’ right to their life choices.
