Hi, I’m Jeffrey Spike, AKA Spike the Psych. I have been a licensed educational psychologist since 2012, while working full time for LAUSD. I was the recipient of the Los Angeles Association of School Psychologists (LAASP) Outstanding Psychologist of the Year award. With 14 years of experience as a psycho-educational assessor, Spike the Psych has successfully identified the primary strengths and needs of students with Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional disturbance and difficulties, language impairments, and behavior difficulties. I also specialize in counseling and mentoring students, consultation, intervention, advocacy I relate well to children of all ages and I have a knack for interpreting assessment results and breaking them down to parents, resulting in success in helping so many children improve their: social skills; motivation; positive work habits and routines; self-confidence; study skills and organization; behavior, self-management; coping skills; and life skills. Working for public schools, I know how difficult it can be as a parent to get your child the proper help they need.
