Therapist Overview
Life is a complex series of events and conflicts. Are you finding yourself in the middle of a transition? Graduating college and don’t know what’s next, changing careers, ending a relationship, experiencing the loss of a loved one, transitioning into parenthood, or overwhelmed by financial difficulties? During these times, you might find that you experience: depression, anxiety, low motivation, lack of energy or difficulty sleeping. You might become wrapped up in feelings of anger or worry. While these feelings are normal they often take over our thinking, they can cloud our judgement, and prevent us from taking next steps. My work with clients in therapy is focused on helping them navigate through the difficult times. Through a strengths based and solution focused therapeutic approach I help clients to explore their innate coping skills, challenge unhelpful thoughts and commit to taking action steps towards living a fulfilling and purposeful life despite life’s challenges. I partner with “Candlelit” a free mental health service for Black and multicultural parents & professionals that handles your insurance paperwork, so you can focus on healing in therapy. They partner with out-of-network therapists in your area to provide mental health screening, insurance navigation and support on demand. Email them [email protected]
