Therapist Overview
In society we often hear “Just get over it already”. It is my firm belief that we don’t just get over things. Instead, we make meaning of our experiences and learn to live. Life happens and will continue to happen and we must find ways to adapt and thrive with whatever life tosses our way. Although I am aware that trauma is not always the sole focus of healing, I believe that it is important to understand the ways in which trauma impacts our lives. Whether you are in need a small tweak or major change in your life, I am committed to helping you navigate your healing journey with integrative therapeutic approaches including EMDR. In addition to being a trauma-focused therapist, I am both experienced and comfortable in working with an array of clients with differing backgrounds and therapeutic needs. I work with clients as young as 5 as well as individuals of all races, ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses, and sexual orientations. All walks of life are safe & welcome in my practice. Good therapy is dependent on a healthy and trusting relationship between the client and therapist. I take pride in creating a safe, genuine, and accepting therapeutic environment for my clients. I value using personality and humor to help build a “real” relationship that is both healing and genuine. Finding the right therapist is key to healing and growth.
