Therapist Overview

Dr. Sara Lewis is Associate Professor and co-chair of Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology at Naropa University. I work with adults, teens, couples, and families in my private practice, Spacious Minds Psychotherapy, located at the Boulder Healing Hub. As a contemplative psychotherapist I see the inherent goodness and wakefulness in every aspect of being alive. I help my clients explore how they can honor their inherent wisdom, enhancing freedom, love, and purpose. With curiosity, gentleness, and a fierce desire for understanding, psychotherapy can help us learn how to become more fully awake, compassionate, and in line with our life’s purpose. Contemplative psychotherapy infuses meditation and mindfulness practices with traditional counseling approaches. I also work with clients interested in psychedelic integration.
