Therapist Overview
I primarily focus on work with couples, individuals and parent-teen dyads and triads (parent and teen or both parents and teen). I enjoy helping clients work on a variety of therapeutic goals including bettering/fortifying romantic and family relationships, coping with depression, anxiety, suicidality, self-worth/self-esteem, as well as overcoming trauma, grief and loss, seeking a full and rich life, becoming your best self and navigating the ups and downs of life. I have a broad foundation of therapeutic training: a bachelor’s degree from BYU in Psychology, a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu, and am in my last year of classes of a PhD in marriage and family therapy at BYU (#1 MFT program in the nation). I have also attended multiple clinical trainings to continue learning. Beyond my education, I have a lot of life experience that allows me to understand and connect well with clients and the difficulties they are experiencing. I know what it is like to lose a loved one, experience trauma, be close to a divorce etc. Additionally, I know well what the difficult road to recovering from those kinds of experiences is like.
