Therapist Overview

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has provided counseling and social work services to children and families for over twenty years. I help my clients find concrete solutions to the issues they are facing. I operate from a strengths based perspective that focuses on problem solving, teaching specific coping skills, and helping the client take charge of their situation. I provide tools to help my clients gain a greater sense of control of their situations, and to solve the problem at hand. With young children, I first meet with parents or caregivers alone. This helps me get a good sense of the challenges that the family are facing, and what role everyone can play in the solution. Children learn through play. When I am working with your school aged child, I may use games, or draw to connect with them and teach them coping skills or techniques. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions you may have.
