With over 20 years of experience, I utilize talk psychotherapy and art psychotherapy to help you find your emotional voice whether it be about a current situation that is causing you distress or something from your past or future. We often hold on to thoughts, behaviors and feelings that seem too overwhelming to share with others. We fear being vulnerable. We run from difficult feelings and thoughts. We feel ashamed of our emotional “baggage”. Worst part is, we often try to hide these under a mask because of shame, fear, and anxiety. But hiding in shame only makes us feel isolated, empty and experience self hatred. To promote healing and growth, we will sit through difficult emotions and thoughts until you have a better sense of yourself and self compassion. It is very important for us to create a trusting relationship where you can feel seen and heard.
