Therapist Overview
I have spent my career working with couples and women experiencing stress, anxiety, and depression – and helping them to build healthier relationships and work on common painful issues. These include: infidelity, trauma, transition to parenthood, perinatal concerns, infertility, sexual problems, difficulty communicating, past sexual abuse, and other stressors. Many of my clients are high achieving professionals in entertainment, art, law, finance, and sport that have challenges juggling work responsibilities with their roles in the home. I developed my areas of expertise in couple therapy and women’s issues at APA-accredited training at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, Texas A&M University, and the highly regarded VA Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. I am trained and dedicated to culturally informed care and advocacy for veterans, non-traditional couples, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC. I am the Director of the PhD Program at California School of Professional Psychology. I also serve as an Associate Editor for The Encyclopedia of Couple and Family Therapy, and have published widely about relationship issues and couple therapy. I look forward to helping you develop a more satisfying relationship with yourself and others.
