Many of our clients grew up experiencing secrecy, addiction, guilt, blame and shame. It doesn’t have to be this way. Even if things have gone a certain way in your family, you can do it differently. You’re the creator of your story and the CEO of your life. It’s not easy, but it’s possible to become the best version of you. If you can see it in your mind, it can become your reality. Personal responsibility is the key to creating healthy patterns. You can’t change your past, but you can change your future. My name is Erin Meyer, LCPC and I was inspired to go into therapy because I wanted to completely revolutionize the world of mental health. I wanted to help people in a real and tangible way. I felt constant anxiety as a child and teenager. I felt like no one had my back, and I just didn’t want other people to have the feeling of despair I did growing up. Looking back, I think feeling alone with my own emotions was what made me so empathic and understanding of others. I was the person everybody came to. It was very easy for me to see the greatness within other people. I started Mindful Healing Works Wellness Center (MHWWC), because I want mental health to be mainstream. I truly want compassionate and genuine care for all, and that’s one of our biggest values. This is what we are creating at MHWWC.
