Therapist Overview
( English | español ) I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in working with children and families to address anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism and other learning disabilities/special educational needs, social skills, emotion dysregulation, trauma, abuse and/or neglect, life transitions and acculturation/reunification issues. I have a decade of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including therapeutic group home, Child Protective Services, and my current position of social worker in an elementary school in Fairfax County Public Schools. The language of children is play and my goal in working with children is to provide them with a safe, therapeutic space to express what is going on in their world, in their own way. I use evidence-based practices as well as play, or sensory based activities, to provide treatment that is compatible with an individual’s strengths and goals.
