Therapist Overview

I am an outpatient mental health therapist practicing in Portland, Maine. I utilize the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model in therapy. My approach is strengths-based, positive and holistic. I develop treatment plans collaboratively with clients based on the client’s cultural perspective, educational background and symptoms. I offer a positive and friendly atmosphere for clients. IFS is considered ‘self-led’ healing and is based on the belief that each person has the capacity to heal themselves. IFS is a process of identifying different thoughts, feelings and behaviors and understanding how these parts interact with each other. Center for Self Leadership Website: https://www.selfleadership.org/ I specialize in the following areas: *clients with a trauma history; *chronic pain issues; * loss of confidence and self esteem, and * clients experiencing migration stressors (moving to a new country, language issues, economic problems, family conflict).
