I graduated in 2013 with my Master of Education in Counselor Education from Augusta University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified School Counselor with nearly 17 years of experience assisting children and families. I like to think of myself as a person-centered cognitive therapist. Through my training and experience, I have adopted the belief that the brain is an experience-dependent organ. Some experiences promote healthy brain development, while other experiences lead to a disruption in one’s mental and emotional health. I strongly believe that all individuals, regardless of ability, diagnosis, or history, have the capacity to live a happy and productive life. Through therapeutic intervention, it is possible to produce changes in the brain that ultimately remediate difficulties caused by mental health disorders.
