Therapist Overview
I have practiced as an Integrative Movement Psychotherapist for over 17 years and believe that true healing shines through when we work with the whole self-the body, the mind and spirit. As a body-mind therapist I bring in an eclectic mix of psychodynamic theories, strengths based practice, CBT, dance and movement therapy, expressive arts, eco-therapy and mindfulness work to my practice. I specialize in issues related to women’s health, body disorders, trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, group process work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and groups. I also have an extensive background in education, racial justice work, diversity training and clinical supervision. I offer individual, couples and group therapy in my private practice, and contract as an Education Specialist in school systems all over the East Bay offering workshops on bias, bullying and social justice.
