Are you anxious, exhausted, depressed, or otherwise overwhelmed? Do you feel as though you work very hard at home and at work, and yet you don’t feel satisfied with either? Are you struggling to manage a relationship, a family and a career? (And a pandemic?!) Are you curious about the issues that seem to be holding you back from having the life you want? Do you feel misunderstood? Congratulations! You are a human being! Often, we feel as if it might be easier if we were simply mechanical and not so emotional. However, we are emotional and relational. We need other people. We need to be seen and heard. In my work, I utilize somatic- body based approaches, mindfulness awareness practices and sound clinical and neuropsychological understanding. I am a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist and am trained in EMDR. I am a skillful, creative and compassionate pair of eyes and ears that can offer different perspectives on whatever your life has to offer. I realize it is a frightening prospect sometimes, to find and meet a new therapist. I also know that stretching beyond our comfort zones encourages us to be flexible, curious and playful. I hope you will take a chance and explore your world, your mind, your body and movement. We can choose how we work, based on what you bring to therapy.
