Therapist Overview
I believe people possess the strength and ability to move towards growth. I believe everyone has potential – potential to be their best self, potential for power, strength, and resiliency. Sometimes life struggles get in the way of allowing full potential to develop. Each of us experiences pain. There often comes a time when an added layer of support allows us to thrive and shine. This is where I can help. I specialize in women’s mental health (fertility/infertility, child-free by choice, career advancement & difficulties, relational dynamics, imposter syndrome), LGBTQ+ clients, including surgery support letters. I help clients make sense of their lives through connecting with their own emotional experiences. I recognize the influence that injustice, oppression and family upbringing can have. I work to frame the emotional struggles in terms of what they are – powerful survival mechanisms that served you well in the past, yet need to be revisited to further grow. Many clients enter therapy feeling vulnerable. Through working on empowerment, from a feminist lens, I help the client learn that they are in charge of their lives outside of therapy. It is my hope that through therapy, I am able to assist my clients in living a more congruent, fulfilling, and meaningful life. *I also see clients in Maryland via Telehealth*
