As a mental health counselor I am trained to work with individuals who may be having difficulty coping with feelings of anxiety, depression, mood/personality disorders, stress, addiction, anger management, troubled relationships, or interpersonal challenges. My experience working with a variety of techniques including, but not limited to, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness based orientation, promotes self-awareness and adaptive coping skills. This helps my clients achieve a greater insight into working through challenges. It is important I develop a strong clinical understanding of experiences and challenges in working towards one’s treatment goals. By guiding my clients, I help them develop cognitive skills and behavioral changes to have greater self understanding. These factors contribute to the success of my clients.
