I feel privileged to work with children, adults, families and couples as they struggle to overcome difficulties in life and to make lasting change. I believe all of my clients are amazing individuals with their own strengths and unique stories to tell. Some of my clients have lived through tremendous hardships and trauma. My job is to help my clients feel heard and accepted for who they are, and to empower them to use their strengths to accomplish their goals. It is my sincere belief that we are meant to experience joy and peace, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. I offer a trauma-focused and strengths-based approach, and have experience working with people of all ages. I have been specially trained to work with children and use a variety of play therapy techniques. I am a Licensed Master’s Addiction Counselor as well, so I understand the detrimental effect addiction can have on families. Change is hard and many people in our culture view asking for help as a weakness. I believe that my clients are anything but weak and feel privileged to walk beside them as they make the difficult but worthwhile journey towards lasting change.
